Meet Brett!
Julie found a dog life jacket in our online shop for her dog Sasha some time ago and now Sasha has kindly let Brett borrow her life jacket today! It is freezing up there in the north east!
Too cold for Sasha in the sea now. Brett, on the other hand, is a right tough nut. He is in the sea no matter what the weather. It makes you cold just looking at him!
Sasha loves curling up with Bumble and pussycat Silky on the sofa, hoping that the rain will ease off soon so that she can have a gallop through the wood instead.
Read more about Sasha and friends here!

Dog Tricks
Type in your commands, like "jump", "beg", "sit", "roll over" and "play dead", and a beautiful Yorkie will oblige.
But don't get too complicated with your requests, because he'll just get perplexed if you do.

Poorly Wills...: (
Karen (my vet) came to check me over and I have drops for my ears and on hay and water diet.
I'm not impressed I love my food, today I left the fireplace to go and visit my children..
I seem to get all sorts wrong with me since my wife died, my owner had to bath me because of the runs in a baby bath, yuck....I didn't mind that but I wouldn't come out!

Rules for the Summer for your pets!
· Recognise the signs of overheating. Heat stress in your pet can include heavy panting, glazed eyes, a rapid pulse, unsteadiness, vomiting, or a deep red or purple tongue.
· If you sense that your pet is overheating, take it out of the sun. You can dump cool water over your pet to gradually lower the body temperature. You should also let your pet drink small amounts of water or lick ice cubes. If your dog is still exhibiting the same symptoms, take it to the vet.
· On hot days, limit the amount of exercise your pet gets. You should be especially careful with older dogs, short-nosed dogs and dogs with heavy coats. A good idea is to let dogs exercise in the early morning or at night when it's coolest. During the day, let them sit in a cool area either in front of a fan or in an air conditioned room.
· Don't leave your pet in the car. Cars can heat up fast in the summer, and if left for too long that heat can be fatal for your pet. If you must leave them in your car, don't do it for more than a few minutes. Remember to keep all the windows rolled down a few inches and park in the shade. Also, make sure your pet has sufficient water.
· Refrain from bringing your pet to crowded events such as concerts or fairs. The combination of the crowds and the heat can be stressful for a dog or a cat. Be sure to leave them at home where it's cooler.

Dog Kennels
The kennel must be large enough to accommodate your dog and provide plenty of space for moving around in, not that it has to be a massive kennel, but adequate enough.

Wilburs latest antics!
This morning I've been in the kitchen chasing the cats and drinking out of Tia's water bowl, so I think I've coming through the grieving stage.
I've been living in my owners living room, and my new trick is to sit on the coffee table watching everyone!

A Day In The Life of Wilbur The Rabbit
I go into the dining room to say good morning to my children, have a run round the house kicking my feet in the air, play with Eric the Dog then I will have a nap.
When I wake up I normally go and visit the guinea pigs I share my home with, then sit on the fireplace with my stuffed cat grooming it!! (Gives Tara a day off!)
I mostly repeat that all day apart for having snacks, and at about 11pm I go back in my cage and wait for my supper and bedtime.
To keep fit, I sometimes gets up on his back legs and box with my owner with my front feet, why I don't know, because it hurts her sometimes, it's as if I'm digging in mid air, my owners hands are covered in scratches, its become a habit though. I suppose its my daily workout!
I've changed since Harri died, she was my wife and I miss her badly. I've only just started grooming myself again as she used to do it all for me.

The UK’s pet owners are being forced into the heart-breaking step of abandoning their dogs, cats and rabbits as the credit crunch starts to bite. .
It reports that the number of animals being abandoned due to their owners having to move home has more than tripled in the last year. Such moves are largely down to financial pressures, with rising mortgage rates causing people to sell their houses and move into rented accommodation, which usually excludes pets.
I can only feel for those people who cannot manage financially and have to make a heartbreaking decision to give up their pets. But although this is something of a tragedy for those put in that situation, it is at least heart-warming to hear that owners are taking responsibility and taking their pets to organised rescue centres.

Eric's lastest find....
Hi! I'm Eric and I am a super energetic little dog!
I may be small but my appetite for fun is massive and I've been told that I have a huge personality.
I just love company, and I am curious too, so if they are not careful I'll scamper off! I just have to tell you about the super new dog runs that I'm testing out right now.
I just love to strut my stuff up and down these ab fab doggy runs, and they don't have to worry about traffic.
Why not take a look at Even though I've got loads of energy, it's not all go, go,go, .....even I find time to chill and relax!
That's why I'm loving this cool new bean bag bed
It's grey too, so it matches my fur!
Tara's lastest find....
Well helllloooooooo there. I don't know about you, but I am simply not able to live with anything but the best.
I am a lady, and I insist that I be treated as such. Of course this does not mean that I have to stay in at night.
There are plenty of sleek and muscular males around my neighbourhood, and if I were to stay at home, hiding my light under a bushel, well it would be a disservice to the feline community.
So I put my paw down. I needed my own pad. And they got me one of these fabulous furry indoor Katkabins, I just had to try it out, its purrrfect!
And if I spend over £100, its delivered free!! Sure I can find something else to go with it!
